Shadow the Dog needs a home
Meet Shadow! Shadow is a neutered male black lab mix with a gorgeous shepherd-like coat and beautiful amber eyes. He is approximately 4 years old. Shadow was rescued from a shelter in KY and came into foster to receive treatment for heartworm. It has been pure joy helping such a sweet boy and now he is ready to find his forever family! Shadow loves everyone! He is the happiest, friendliest boy there could be. Shadow is the true definition of Best Friend!
Requirements for Shadow’s adoptive home:
Single family home with completely fenced secure yard for romping and playing.
Family who will love Shadow’s exuberance and playfulness.
Shadow’s family will need to commit to at least 1 POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT obedience class. Examples include Hightails Hideaway in West Chicago and Narnia in Plainfield.
If there are children in the home they should be over 12 years of age.
Another friendly, well-balanced dog would be fine.
Shadow has not been tested with cats.
Shadow is house-trained, fun to leash-walk, nice in the car (we use a seat belt), and wonderful for the vet and groomer. He has been described as “Awesome!” and “OMG! Shadow is the best!” His personality and friendliness are second to none, he will be a lifelong best friend! But he has never had the benefit of positive training until he came into rescue, so that will need to be continued by his forever family to make sure Shadow continues to shine in his best light!
